In case you haven't noticed, the NCAA has been flooding the airwaves with their bogus "Scholar-Athlete" commercials during March Madness.
One reason for this may be the storm that is brewing over a
Frontline investigation that will air tomorrow night on PBS. The
Frontline team will take an in-depth look at the multi-billion dollar business of the NCAA. Among other things, they will speak to a former ad executive who brought NCAA basketball to its current height and listen to him explain just how rich he made coaches, administrators, and associated companies. Now, this same executive is bringing a class-action lawsuit against the NCAA to try and get its "amateur" athletes paid.
If you have never seen Frontline, you are missing out. Should be incredible telivision.
