Cover of the Day

GQ recently came out with their 25 Coolest Athletes of All Time.  Since that issue, readers have expressed their approval or dismay for the list.  While there was plenty of disagreements with the list, "Pistol" Pete Maravich was voted the coolest of the cool in a polling from the readers.

In honor of the most revolutionary and transcendent basketball player of the 20th century, today's cover is from March 1971.

...Pistol Pete is actually about to make a jumper from that very position.
