This cover has absolutely nothing to do with anything going on in the sports world right now. Just wanted to remind everyone what our uniforms looked like in the 1994 World Cup, which we hosted. Pretty sure the people at Adidas aren't displaying this uni in the lobby of their US Headquarters. Yikes. This photo was taken in the knockout game against Brazil, a week or so after USA's shocking 2-1 upset of Columbia aided by an own-goal from Andres Escobar who was summarily murdered when he returned home for his mistake. Who says Americans take sports too seriously?
