Today in Sports History
On April 13, 1963 Cincinnati Reds rookie Pete Rose recorded his first ever hit in MLB. Charlie Hustle went on to record 4,256 hits in his illustrious career. The real shame is if players such as A-Rod, McGwire, Pettitte, Bonds and Manny actually get into Cooperstown and Rose is forever left out. Once again, MLB tries to come off like the purest game yet plays in a field of hypocracy every summer. They turn a blind eye to steroids in the late 90's/early 2000's yet completely ban, embarrass, and demoralize Pete Rose for betting on other games while he was a manager, not a player.
Long Live Charlie Hustle.
