Fighting the Meltdown
In response to Rory McIlroy's final round 80 in The Masters, very interesting and good read in The Wall Street Journal about complete meltdowns in professional golf.
Professional golfers don't have a second string QB or a designated hitter option. Kobe went 6-24 in Game 7 last year but still celebrated under the confetti afterwards because his teammates picked up the slack. When professional golfers fall victim to pressure, nerves, stress and a lack of confidence in their swing or putting stroke, they have to accept the embarrassment and humiliation for however many hours are left in their round.
