For those of you agonizing over the ongoing labor dispute in the NFL and dreading having to spend time with your families on Sundays this fall, I hate to inform you that the NBA is headed toward a lockout as well. Interesting piece by Dave Zirin of the New Yorker about the NBA labor dispute and the man leading the way, commissioner David Stern. It should be noted that the NBA situation is more doomed even than the NFL. Most of the NBA owners are independently wealthy of their franchises and some will even make money off of a lockout. Nothing like billionaires and millionaires fighting on national TV.
